Soccer Recap: Peabody Comes Up Short

Peabody was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Washington-Marion Charging Indians. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Warhorses haven't been shut out since back in December of 2024.

Peabody's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Washington-Marion, the victory snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 2-10 record.

Peabody will take on Delta Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Peabody is facing Delta Charter at the right time seeing as Delta Charter is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Washington-Marion, they will welcome St. Louis Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Washington-Marion's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
