Basketball Recap: North Smithfield Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Smithfield can now relate to. They fell 59-47 to the Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights on Wednesday. The Northmen were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Scarlet Knights earlier this season, when they won 62-61.

North Smithfield now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Exeter-West Greenwich, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11.

North Smithfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Exeter-West Greenwich, they will square off against Mt. Hope at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Hope is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season.
