Softball Recap: Apex Friendship Drops Highest Score of Season Against Green Hope

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Apex Friendship). Everything went their way against the Green Hope Falcons on Tuesday as Apex Friendship made off with a 15-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won seven in a row.

Riley Weaver was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed since back in May of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Cheyenne Christman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Parker, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Apex Friendship kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matchups.

Apex Friendship's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Green Hope, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Apex Friendship has already played their next contest (against Apex), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Green Hope, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-13 defeat against Franklinton on the 19th.
