Edgewood waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the West Shore Wildcats by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Wolves also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Edgewood might've won, it sure wasn't easy: West Shore scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-22, 16-25, 25-21.

Edgewood's offense was headlined by Anna Ely and Macy Ferguson, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Debbie Walley and her 26 assists. Maya Ferguson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

West Shore's loss came despite strong showings from Claire Chen and Violet Castillo. Chen had six digs and three aces, while Castillo had nine digs.

Edgewood's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for West Shore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Edgewood will welcome Titusville at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for West Shore, they will venture away from home to take on Melbourne Central Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
