Edgewood waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the West Shore Wildcats by a score of 3-1. West Shore's loss came despite strong showings from Claire Chen and Violet Castillo. Chen had six digs and three aces, while Castillo had nine digs.
Edgewood's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for West Shore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
Looking ahead, Edgewood will welcome Titusville at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for West Shore, they will venture away from home to take on Melbourne Central Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
