Basketball Recap: Cotulla Takes a Loss

Cotulla lost against Jourdanton back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cotulla Cowboys took a blow against the Jourdanton Indians/Squaws, falling 53-25. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1455th, while the Indians/Squaws are ranked 308th).

Cotulla is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17. As for Jourdanton, they pushed their record up to 26-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Cotulla will square off against Hondo at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hondo will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cotulla surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jourdanton, they will take on Dilley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jourdanton is facing Dilley at the right time seeing as Dilley is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
