Basketball Game Preview: Crisp Academy Wildcats vs. Westwood Wildcats

Crisp Academy hasn't had much luck against Westwood recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Crisp Academy Wildcats just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Westwood Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Crisp Academy will head into Thursday's matchup on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Southwest Georgia STEM Charter on Thursday. Crisp Academy simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Southwest Georgia STEM Charter 56-24.

Meanwhile, Westwood came into Tuesday's game having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past Grace Christian Academy with a 29-25 victory on Tuesday.

Crisp Academy is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for Westwood, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

Crisp Academy took a serious blow against Westwood in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, falling 49-21. Thankfully for Crisp Academy, Monique Judge (who went 7 of 11 en route to 18 points and five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
