Basketball Recap: Abbott Takes a Loss

Abbott lost against Jonesboro back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Abbott Panthers were beaten by the Jonesboro Eagles 52-21. The match marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Abbott's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Jonesboro, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Abbott will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cranfills Gap at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Jonesboro will take on Oglesby in a holiday battle at at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
