Crocker took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Vienna, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles on Wednesday, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since March 22nd.

The victory made it two in a row for Crocker and bumps their season record up to 8-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Vienna, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crocker will host Steelville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vienna, they will be playing at home against St. James at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
