Cedar hasn't had much luck against Snow Canyon recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Reds are taking a road trip to challenge the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Cedar is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.

Cedar is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Manti on Wednesday as they made off with a 22-4 victory. The Reds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by six runs or more this season.

Shaylee Johnson and Hunter Blackner did most of the damage at the plate: Johnson went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI, while Blackner went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Johnson has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinzie Hawkins, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Cedar always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Manti only posted an OBP of .333.

Meanwhile, Snow Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 4-1 to Cedar.

Snow Canyon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Falynn Randall, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Cedar and bumps their season record up to 18-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Snow Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.

Cedar beat Snow Canyon 4-1 when the teams last played on Tuesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Reds since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
