Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rochelle). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Ottawa Pirates 42-3. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Hubs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Pirates are ranked 258th).

Rochelle is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.3 points over those games. As for Ottawa, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rochelle will host Waterloo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hubs' defense better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 34.6 points per game this season. As for Ottawa, they will be playing at home against Granite City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
