Nick Bailey put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Tuesday. He wasn't messing around, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The pitching appearance was his fifth straight with two or fewer hits.

Bailey's strong effort led New Trier over Evanston and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long.
