Flag Football Recap: Lathrop Gets the Win

Lathrop extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday, bumping them up to 17-3. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 13-12 W against the Beyer Patriots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 32-13 back in September.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lathrop to victory, but perhaps none more so than Moira Ramones, who picked up 72 receiving yards and one score. Those 72 receiving yards gave Ramones a new career-high.

As for Beyer, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 446th, while Lathrop is ranked 163rd).

Despite the loss, Beyer had strong showings from Heaven Oliver, who rushed for 98 yards and a pair of TDs, and Gabriella Garcia, who gained 91 total yards.

Coming up, Lathrop will square off against Ripon at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Beyer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
