Baseball Recap: Wautoma Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Wautoma lost to Nekoosa back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Hornets came out on top against the Papermakers by a score of 8-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Carson Rose was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Wautoma's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-10 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Jett Richard, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Wautoma pushed their record up to 8-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Nekoosa, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5.
