After losing to Saint Francis the last time they met, St. Ignatius College Preparatory decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wildcats came out on top against the Lancers by a score of 13-6 on Monday. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Lancers on their field since September 23, 2024.

The win made it two in a row for St. Ignatius College Preparatory and bumps their season record up to 2-3. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 points in those games. As for Saint Francis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Ignatius College Preparatory will venture away from home to square off against Sacred Heart Prep at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Gators' defense has only allowed 8.2 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Saint Francis, they will head out to challenge Menlo School at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
