Recap: Choctaw County Tigers vs. Millry Wildcats
The Choctaw County Tigers have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Millry by a score of 55-47 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Choctaw County also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Choctaw County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyshawn Carlisle, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Carlisle is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarrod Chaney, who scored eight points along with six assists and four steals.
Choctaw County's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Millry, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Choctaw County will take on Southern Choctaw at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southern Choctaw is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Millry, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Choctaw County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
