Softball Recap: Barnwell Comes Up Short

Barnwell fell victim to Bamberg-Ehrhardt and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Raiders. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Warhorses' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Jaidyn Devore spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Barnwell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendall O'Berry, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Barnwell's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Barnwell has already played their next match, a 10-7 victory against South Aiken on the 26th. Bamberg-Ehrhardt has also already played their next game (against Allendale-Fairfax), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
