Holton extended their winning streak  to five  on Monday, bumping their season record up to 7-3 in the process. They blew past the Jefferson West Tigers 12-2. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten  runs or more this season.
As for Jefferson West,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 16-4. The pitching woes were  uncharacteristic for they, who until this  game were averaging 3.85  runs allowed.
 For Jefferson West's part,  Megan Malone made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Looking ahead, Jefferson West will host Nemaha Central  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Holton will be paying especially close attention to the Tigers'  match: after the Tigers face off against the Thunder, they'll take on Holton again  at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
