Miller Grove had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Avery Bulldogs with a sharp 24-3 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Mason Clements, who scored four runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Cage Hasten, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
