Volleyball Recap: Christian Academy of Knoxville Takes a Loss

Christian Academy of Knoxville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Lakeway Christian Academy Lions. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-13, 25-11.

Anna Claire Carmichael paced Christian Academy of Knoxville's offense, picking up five kills. Carmichael got some help from Averie Slowik and her seven assists. Olivia Engle controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lakeway Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Essie Jett, who had four digs and four aces. That's the most aces Jett has posted since back in August of 2024.

Christian Academy of Knoxville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lakeway Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Christian Academy of Knoxville has already played their next matchup (against Webb), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lakeway Christian Academy, they will square off against Concord Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
