Recap: Malverne Mules vs. St. Anthony's Friars
The Malverne Mules lost against the St. Anthony's Friars back in December of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Malverne was beaten by St. Anthony's 68-36.
St. Anthony's got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kevin Moore out in front who scored 16 points along with four steals. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. James Taylor jr. was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five steals.
Malverne's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Anthony's, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Malverne will face off against Lawrence at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawrence comes in still looking for their first win of the season. St. Anthony's and St. John the Baptist will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
