Excel Academy of Englewood is facing Unity Christian Academy at the wrong time: Unity Christian Academy suffered their first home loss of the season on Friday and they're likely out for redemption. They took a 65-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boilermakers. While losing is never fun, the Phoenix can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Boilermakers are ranked 74th).

Meanwhile, Excel Academy of Englewood was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 74-38 loss at the hands of South Shore International.

Excel Academy of Englewood's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Unity Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-9.
