Soccer Game Preview: Trinity Catholic vs. P.K. Yonge

Trinity Catholic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Trenton as Trinity Catholic made off with an 8-1 victory. Austin Hilty was a massive factor in the win as he booted in four goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for P.K. Yonge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They never let Middleburg onto the board and left with a 2-0 win last Friday. Given the Blue Wave's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Broncos are ranked 442nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carson Hass, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the P.K. Yonge squad sat out for Friday's match. With Hass sitting this one out, Benjamin Harloff got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 36.2).

P.K. Yonge pushed their record up to 14-3-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 44 goals over those eight games. As for Trinity Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6-3 record this season.
