Basketball Game Preview: Richland Springs Coyotes vs. Aquilla Cougars

The Richland Springs Coyotes will take on the Aquilla Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Coyotes on Friday. The match between Richland Springs and Borden County didn't end well, with Richland Springs falling 45-28. While losing is never fun, Richland Springs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 791st, while Borden County is ranked 234th).

Meanwhile, Aquilla didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Jonesboro two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 48-42 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Aquilla pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.2 points. As for Richland Springs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
