Softball Preview: Pasco Pirates vs. Central Bears

The Pasco Pirates will square off against the Central Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Pasco came up short against Wiregrass Ranch and fell 7-4.

Meanwhile, Central fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Hernando on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Leopards by a score of 8-7. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Yianna Casiano was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Those two hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Casiano wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Atkinson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Pasco's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
