Baseball Game Preview: Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors vs. Illiana Christian Vikings

For the second straight game, Hammond Bishop Noll will face off against Illiana Christian. The Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Hammond Bishop Noll is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Illiana Christian just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 10-3 to the Vikings. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered since April 12th.

For Illiana Christian's part, Jake Scott was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave Scott a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ayden VanKuiken, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Illiana Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
