Baseball Recap: Honey Grove Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Honey Grove couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alvord Bulldogs on Friday.

Honey Grove saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Reese, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Honey Grove's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Alvord, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-6.

While Honey Grove had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
