Basketball Recap: Concord Find Success

Concord won the last time they faced East Rowan and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Spiders came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 70-63. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spiders.

Concord had a senior duo take command as Jayden Beyan went 10-for-19 en route to 28 points along with eight boards and five assists and Kyzen Coleman dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Beyan's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Lawson Childress, who posted eight points.

Concord smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Concord's record now sits at 9-7. As for East Rowan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.
