Baseball Recap: Creek Wood Beats Lawson for Their Third Straight Win

While Creek Wood didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Lawson Lightning by a score of 7-2 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Red Hawks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Carter Hull spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

At the plate, Creek Wood got a massive performance out of Boone Harris, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Ferrell, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Creek Wood's record now sits at 9-1. As for Lawson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Creek Wood will have a chance to go back-to-back against Lawson: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
