The Loveland Classical Lions will face off against the Merino Rams at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Loveland Classical is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.2 points per game this season.

Loveland Classical took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 78-37 victory over STEM School Highlands Ranch. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Spartans are ranked 242nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Loveland Classical to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jackson Jensen, who shot 73% from the field on his way to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Kole Doan was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.

Loveland Classical was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as STEM School Highlands Ranch only seven assists.

Meanwhile, Merino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-41 heartbreaker at the hands of Burlington.

Loveland Classical's win was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.1 points over those games. As for Merino, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.
