Baseball Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

MacArthur lost to Springfield back in March of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Generals fell 9-4 to Springfield. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dre'Tarius Stewart and Luke Karunas did some serious damage despite the final result: Stewart went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Karunas went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Monroe Gregurich also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

MacArthur's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Springfield, their record now sits at 12-13.

MacArthur wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 19-0 defeat against Taylorville on the 11th. As for Springfield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 15-10 loss against Glenwood on the 12th.
