Football Game Preview: Logan Grizzlies vs. Ben Lomond Scots

The Logan Grizzlies will head out to face off against the Ben Lomond Scots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Logan will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

On Friday, Logan made easy work of Union and carried off a 31-10 victory.

Among those leading the charge was Easton Favero, who threw for 218 yards and a pair of TDs. Jase Pingree got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Logan proved: they limited Union to a paltry 3.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Grayden Olsen for the heroic effort on defense: he. Logan's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.8.

Meanwhile, Ben Lomond fell victim to Morgan and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 56-0 loss at the hands of the Trojans. The Scots haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Ben Lomond's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Logan, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.

Logan couldn't quite get it done against Ben Lomond when the teams last played back in September of 2016 as they fell 42-34. Thankfully for the Grizzlies, Angelo Rios (who rushed for 323 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 30 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time.
