Softball Recap: Longview Wins Going Away Against Jefferson

While Longview didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Jefferson Bulldogs 7-1 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Lobos, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Longview and bumps their season record up to 8-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.5 runs. As for Jefferson, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3.

Coincidentally, Longview and Jefferson will both be playing Hooks the next time they take the field. Longview will head out to face Hooks at 10:05 a.m. on Friday, while Jefferson will head out to face them at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
