            Softball Preview: Watertown Goslings vs. Milton Red Hawks        
        
		
        
        
            The Watertown Goslings will head out to  challenge the Milton Red Hawks  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Watertown is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last four games.
On Saturday, Watertown made easy work of Oshkosh West  and carried off  a  13-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Goslings, who have now won ten games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Cali Craig made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 11 batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   five  hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-5 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Breanna Meracle was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with three  runs and one  stolen base.  Cassidy Peplinski was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs and one  RBI.
 Watertown  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 18  hits. That's the most  hits they've posted  since  the start of last season.
 Meanwhile, Milton was not the first on the board  on Friday, but they got there more often. They walked away with  a   10-7  win over Waunakee. The  victory continues a trend for the Red Hawks in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won seven in a row.
 Watertown's win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 13-4. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Milton, they now  have a winning record of 9-8.
 Watertown skirted past Milton  7-6 when the teams last played  back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Goslings since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
