Volleyball Recap: Adams Central Beats Scottsbluff for Their Third Straight Win

Adams Central entered their tilt with Scottsbluff on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Bearcats.

Isabel DeJonge paced Adams Central's offense, picking up 20 kills. DeJonge got some help from Peighton Hinton and her 23 assists. Ava Katzberg controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the loss, Scottsbluff saw an underclassman step up: freshman Lillian Hays had 32 assists and ten digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Alainah Salas, who had 12 digs and two assists.

Adams Central's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Scottsbluff, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.

Adams Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Holdrege on the 4th. As for Scottsbluff, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against McCook on the 4th.
