Basketball Recap: Caston Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rochester, Caston was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pioneer Panthers, sneaking past 42-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Comets have posted since December 6, 2024.

Caston found their leader in sophomore Lane Hook, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Logan Mollenkopf, who posted 12 points and three steals.

With the win, Caston broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-8. As for Pioneer, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Caston has already played their next matchup, a 42-35 defeat against Tri-County on the 1st. As for Pioneer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-34 victory against South Newton on the 1st.
