Baseball Recap: Bridge Creek Comes Up Short

Bridge Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Latta Panthers, falling 11-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bobcats have suffered since April 11, 2024.

Rylan Johns was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Bridge Creek now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Latta, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Bridge Creek will welcome Cameron at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cameron's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Bridge Creek's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Latta, they are taking a road trip to take on Valliant at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Valliant 1.7, Latta 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
