Volleyball Recap: Boscobel Takes a Loss

Boscobel lost against Riverdale last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Chieftains, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered against the Chieftains since September 10, 2019.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-7, 25-16.

Addison Rounds paced Boscobel's offense, picking up four kills. Rounds got some help from Kylee Johnson and her five assists. Johnson was also a major player on defense: she and she shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with two each.

Boscobel's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Riverdale, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

The future could be bright for both Boscobel and Riverdale: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Bulldogs will try to hand Southwestern their third-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Riverdale will look to extend New Lisbon's three-game losing streak when they meet at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
