Basketball Game Preview: Natchitoches Central Chiefs vs. Red River Bulldogs

The Natchitoches Central Chiefs will square off against the Red River Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Natchitoches Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Natchitoches Central took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They put the hurt on Avoyelles Charter with a sharp 68-42 win. The Chiefs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Red River posted their closest victory since March 1, 2024 on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Gibsland-Coleman 76-74.

Red River's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Natchitoches Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.
