Baseball Game Preview: Foothill Knights vs. El Modena Vanguards

For the second straight game, Foothill will face off against El Modena. The Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Vanguards at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Foothill's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so El Modena's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, Foothill needed a bit of extra time to put away El Modena. They came out on top against the Vanguards by a score of 4-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kyle Telson looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Foothill is 11-2 when Telson allows one or fewer earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Sean Green was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Foothill's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for El Modena, their loss dropped their record down to 9-15.
