Basketball Recap: Normandy Falls Short of Magnificat in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Normandy can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 58-23 loss at the hands of the Magnificat Blue Streaks. The matchup marked the Invaders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Normandy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ziley Minich posted 11 points.

Normandy's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Magnificat, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Normandy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Magnificat, they will face off against Strongsville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Strongsville comes in on 14 and Magnificat on eight.
