Volleyball Recap: Riverstone International Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Riverstone International had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They came out on top against the North Star Huskies by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Otters also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The victory didn't come easy: North Star scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 24-26, 25-19, 25-18.

Kailani Kurth paced Riverstone International's offense, picking up 11 kills. Kurth got some help from Vera Brooks and her 19 assists. Whitney Brooks controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Riverstone International's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for North Star, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverstone International will host Idaho City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Star, they will be playing at home against Wilder at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
