Warren Township took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Niles West Wolves. For the Blue Devils, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Wolves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Warren Township never let Niles West on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-19.

Lily Smekens was the offensive standout of the game as she had seven digs and six aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (three).

Looking ahead, Warren Township is taking a road trip to take on Saint Viator at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Niles West, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Loyola Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
