The Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Blue Jays are taking a road trip to face off against the New Richmond Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Fairfield just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 57-14 loss at the hands of the Lions. The match marked the Blue Jays' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, New Richmond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against Batavia, falling 60-32. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-18.

Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8. As for New Richmond, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington beat New Richmond 43-31 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
