Recap: Bethany Christian vs. Bloomfield Christian School Defenders
Bethany Christian won against the Bloomfield Christian School Defenders last Friday with 56 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Bethany Christian came out on top against Bloomfield Christian School by a score of 56-47. The victory was all the more spectacular given Bethany Christian's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 281st, while Bloomfield Christian School is ranked 124th).
Bethany Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luca Halalau, who scored 23 points along with six assists. Halalau is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Clayton Beachell, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and nine assists.
The victory was the fifth in a row for Bethany Christian, bringing their record for this year to 10-1. As for Bloomfield Christian School, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bethany Christian will take on Varsity Opponent at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bloomfield Christian School, Bloomfield Christian School and Washtenaw Christian Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Washtenaw Christian Academy is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
