Baseball Recap: Good Hope Takes a Loss

Good Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Morgan Rebels. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by exactly two runs.

Caden Drake made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Blake Cordes also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Good Hope's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for West Morgan, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Morgan beat Good Hope by a score of 12-8 on Thursday.
