Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Homer

Homer put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They put the hurt on the Grace Christian Grizzlies with a sharp 16-1 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mariners also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.

Evan Pietsch was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cohen Boyd, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Andrew Marley was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Homer's victory bumped their record up to 3-0-1. As for Grace Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
