Baseball Recap: Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Takes a Loss

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City blew Pana out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Pana got their revenge. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City fell just short of Pana by a score of 3-1. The Bobcats just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conner Nowitzke, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Wyatt Rueff was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's record now sits at 0-3. As for Pana, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City will welcome Sullivan at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City is facing Sullivan at the right time seeing as Sullivan is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Pana, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Pana surely won't give up without a fight.
