Volleyball Game Preview: Southwest Trojans vs. McDonald County Mustangs

The Southwest Trojans will head out to face off against the McDonald County Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

McDonald County will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Southwest extended their winning streak to three on Monday. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Hurley.

Southwest not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Hurley between 15 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 25-15.

Meanwhile, McDonald County got the win against Seneca on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

McDonald County never let Seneca on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-14, 25-22.

McDonald County's victory bumped their record up to 7-16-2. As for Southwest, their win bumped their record up to 11-16-3.

Southwest couldn't quite get it done against McDonald County in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as they fell 2-0. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
