Soccer Game Recap: La Joya vs. Edinburg North

The La Joya Coyotes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Edinburg North by a score of 3-2.

Mariela Moreno and Aidaliz Chapa did their best for La Joya and scored both of La Joya's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 24 so far this season.

La Joya's loss dropped their record down to 8-7-3. As for Edinburg North, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Joya will face off against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Edinburg North, they will head out on the road to square off against Mission at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Edinburg North's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
