Recap: Ossining Pride vs. New Rochelle Huguenots

The Ossining Pride were the 64-63 winner over the New Rochelle Huguenots when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Ossining fell to New Rochelle 45-40. While losing is never fun, Ossining can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 307th, while New Rochelle is ranked 39th).

Ossining lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sebastian DeCosta, who scored 16 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kris Singh, who scored ten points along with three steals and two blocks.

Ossining struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Ossining are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6. As for New Rochelle, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.

Ossining will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against John Jay at 5:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for New Rochelle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carmel at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
